Joel Komarek
Joel Komarek served as Lake Oswego’s City Engineer for six years before accepting his new position as Project Director for the Lake Oswego Interceptor. As City Engineer he was responsible for the management, planning, design and construction of the City’s infrastructure, including drinking water treatment, storage and distribution systems; storm and surface water systems; and street and traffic systems. Prior to joining the City in 1994, Joel spent seven years as a design engineer with a well known, local consulting engineering firm, working exclusively with municipal clients. Joel graduated from Portland State University in 1987 with a degree in Civil Engineering and is a registered professional engineer and water rights examiner.
Jane Heisler
Jane Heisler, formerly Director of Public Affairs for the City, has been with the City for over 20 years and brings strong management skills and communications experience to the project. In addition to the Director of Public Affairs, during the past six years Jane has also been Assistant to the City Manager and the Community Planning Manager. Jane also held positions as Project Planner and Associate Planner during her tenure at the City. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners and graduated in 1984 with a Masters degree in Urban Planning from Portland State University.
Pat McDougal
Pat McDougal has been involved with civil engineering project work for 37 years. Since 1971 he has 29 years in the Consulting Engineering field serving Municipal and Private Development clientele. That experience centered on general civil engineering including design of facilities such as sewer lines, water lines, streets, site grading and drainage.
Pat has been with the City of Lake Oswego as Associate Engineer for eight years and has been primarily responsible for sanitary sewerage facilities engineering. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Washington State University in 1968 and spent the following three years in the Civil Engineering Corp of Navy.
Susie Shinn
Susie Shinn brings seventeen years of administrative support experience with six of those years in the City’s Engineering Division. She worked previously for a large software company and in the medical field. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Leisure Studies from Washington State University.
Jeff Selby's communications career has taken him from the U.S. Army, to the Walt Disney Company, to his own creative firm. A Desert Storm Army combat veteran with 10 years of broadcast journalism experience, Jeff has worked in many facets of communications including public affairs, writing, producing, on-air talent, and graphic design. Before coming to Oregon in 2001, Jeff worked with Walt Disney Imagineering as a show writer and graphic designer and served as a media relations representative for the Walt Disney World Millennium Celebration.
