  • On July 10, 2007, a public hearing was held to hear public testimony on the City Engineer's recommendation. After taking testimony, the City Council voted to approve the recommendation for an in-lake buoyant gravity system.
  • On June 12, 2007, Council held a study session at which the City Engineer presented his recommendation for the preferred replacement alternative. That staff report is available here..
  • On June 5, 2007, City Engineer Joel Komarek, made a presentation to the ReMax Equity Group at the West End Building. The meeting was attended by over 40 agents interested in hearing about the OLIS project and schedule.
  • On May 22 and 23, 2007, City Engineer Joel Komarek and Jon Holland presented the findings from Phase 1 of the City's LOIS replacement project and discussed the findings of Phase 2.
  • On April 20th, 2007, City Engineer, Joel Komarek, and Jon Holland presented an update on the City's LOIS project to several members of the Forest Hills Easement Association Board. The hour-long presentation focused on constructability issues associated with the around-the-lake pumping alternative.
  • On April 19th, 2007, City staff and Brown and Caldwell Project Manager, Jon Holland, presented an update to the Governmental Affairs Committee of the Lake Oswego Chamber of Commerce. Approximately 20 members of this committee attended.
  • On April 5th, 2007 City staff presented an update on the City's LOIS project to the Blue Heron Neighborhood Association Board. Approximately 20 members attended.
  • On February 22nd, 2007, City staff presented an update on the City’s LOIS project to the Blue Heron Neighborhood Association Board. Approximately 20 members attended.
  • On February 13th, 2007, members of the City's engineering team met with the Lake Oswego Corporation Board and presented an update on the City’s LOIS project. Critical to the success of any replacement alternative, in-lake or around-the-lake, is a drawdown of the lake. This particular issue will be discussed with the Board and their shareholders over the next few months in an effort to reach accord on a mutually agreeable lake drawdown scenario that will maximize opportunities to construct the replacement sewer quickly and economically and minimize impacts to corporation shareholders.
